Oscars 2010
The 82nd Academy Awards will be held in March instead of February. The date has been finalized on 7th of March.
To avoid conflict with the Winter Olympics, the Academy of Motion Arts Pictures and Sciences have decided to postpone the 2010 Oscars to March. The live telecast of the award show will occur on March 7th, 2010, on ABC at 8 PM. The prestigious star studded event will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, where awards will be given out for outstanding film achievements of 2009.
The names of the stars who would co-host the 82nd Academy Awards had been already announced. Along with comedian Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, who recently declared his retirement from acting, will host the show. This is 3rd Oscar Award for Martin as a host and Baldwin’s first. The presenters and hosts of the show are yet to be announced.
