Taylor Dayne To Perform New Song At Gay Games 2010
By Editor
Singer and gay icon Taylor
Dayne will perform a new song to benefit Gay Games 2010 during
the games' opening ceremony next month in Germany, the Federation
of Gay Games announced today.
Facing a Miracle was selected by a team of jurors in search of an anthem for this year's games.
Dayne will publicly perform the song for the first time on July 31 as the sports and cultural festival gets underway.
“My gay audience and followers are the most loyal and the most fun to perform for,” Dayne, a strong gay rights ally, said.
Guido Westerwelle, Germany's 47-year-old openly gay foreign minister, will preside over the games' opening ceremony at RheinEnergie Stadium. Westerwelle and his 42-year-old partner, event manager Michael Mronz, have been crowned the nation's new “power couple” by the media.
The road to Gay Games 2010 officially kicked off in February in San Francisco with the start of the International Rainbow Memorial Run. In the run's first leg, New York activist Brent Nicholson Earle carried a rainbow flag on a symbolic run from the AIDS Memorial Grove located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park to Kezar Stadium, home of the first Gay Games in 1982.
The flag will travel around the globe before reaching its final destination to lead the parade of athletes during the Gay Games VIII's opening ceremonies.
Gay Games returns to the United States in 2014, when Cleveland will host the Olympic-style sporting event.
Sale proceeds from Facing a Miracle on iTunes will benefit Gay Games 2010.

Vuvuzela Filter for TV Viewers

World
Cup 2010: ‘anti-vuvuzela filter’ could cancel out noise of horns
But now a sound engineer claims to have devised a hi-tech antidote to the deafening plastic trumpets, which have attracted complaints from viewers and players alike.
For just £2.45, armchair fans can download a 45-minute audio clip which purports to cancel out the ear-splitting din of the traditional South African stadium horns during televised matches.
The “anti-vuvuzela filter” is based on a technique called active noise control, which is widely used in the music industry to erase unwanted buzz on records. Noise-cancelling headphones work according to the same principle. While acoustic experts expressed scepticism that the method could silence a cacophony of vuvuzelas, the download has already proved popular with fans desperate to enjoy World Cup matches in peace.
The South African organising committee yesterday dismissed suggestions that it would ban the instruments from future matches, with Fifa president Sepp Blatter insisting that they reflected Africa’s “different rhythm, a different sound”
And any British football fans hoping that they would never hear a vuvuzela again after the tournament final on July 11 may be disappointed.
Supermarkets reported selling tens of thousands of the horns over the weekend, leading to speculation that they could become a common sound at Premier League matches next season.
The anti-vuvuzela filter is the brainchild of Clemence Schlieweis, 29, a recording and mixing engineer from Munich in Germany. He sampled vuvuzelas from an early World Cup match and created an “inverse” sound wave with the same amplitude as the original, but with the peaks and troughs of the wave reversed.
If the MP3 music file is played on a computer placed near television speakers during a game, Mr Schlieweis claims that the two sounds will effectively cancel each other out.
He said: “I used it to watch Germany play Australia on Sunday evening and it was perfect. I only launched the website that morning but I’ve already had dozens of orders.”
Scientists said that the noise cancelling theory behind the filter was sound, but cautioned that it may not prove effective in practice.
Trevor Cox, Professor of Acoustics at the University of Salford, said: “I can’t see how it could work. The vuvuzela chorus may come across as a single sound on television, but it is actually hundreds of instruments being blown at different times.
“Active noise control depends on lining up the two sound waves exactly, and that seems physically impossible in this case.”
He added: “My advice is to football fans is to be Zen about it; accept vuvuzelas as part of the World Cup soundscape and pour another beer.”
The online download also offers no respite for fans attending games in South Africa, who have been warned that they could suffer irreparable damage to their hearing.
Crystal Rolfe from the Royal National Institute for the Deaf said: “We know that these horns can cause damage to peoples’ ears.
“They have been measured to reach more than 125 decibels – a pneumatic drill in the street can get to between 90 and 100 decibels, so it’s much louder than that.”
A chorus of vuvuzelas has variously been compared to a stampede of elephants, a hive of angry bees, and the protests of a goat on its way to slaughter.
They became popular in South African stadiums in the 1990s, but critics have complained that they drown out fans’ chanting and prevent players from communicating on the pitch.
Vuvuzelas sparked further controversy in yesterday’s group matches, when Holland striker Robin van Persie claimed that he could not hear the referee’s whistle because of the drone from the crowd.
Portugal winger Ronaldo has also criticised the horns, saying: “It is difficult for anyone on the pitch to concentrate. A lot of players don’t like them.”
The objectors have been dismissed as killjoys in South Africa, and yesterday Mr Blatter came out in defence of the horns. In a message on Twitter he asked: “Would you want to see a ban on the fan traditions in your country?”
David Haye stops John Ruiz to retain heavyweight title
By Nhamo
Haye floored Ruiz just 25 seconds into the encounter, but the American challenger showed tremendous bravery and powers of recovery to survive.
For a short while it looked as if Ruiz was working his way back into the fight.
But the badly-marked 38-year-old was down in the fifth and again in the sixth before his corner called a halt three rounds later.
Haye's brutal victory over a man who had only been stopped once in 54 previous encounters makes inevitable a unification clash with either WBC champion Vitali Klitschko or his younger brother Wladimir, the IBF and WBO title-holder.
Haye targets unification after Ruiz win
"I was over the moon, really happy with it - I felt I was really sharp," Haye, 29, told BBC Radio 5 live.
"There were a load of fans here. The crowd has been absolutely electric for me. There was a 20,000 capacity here with everyone screaming the 'Hayemaker'.
"With performances like that I'll keep the fans behind me. I loved the whole occasion."
As expected, Haye, energised by a 20,000 capacity crowd at the MEN Arena, sprang out of the traps at the sound of the first bell and had Ruiz over with his first real attack, a left-right combination right on the button.
The American rose but looked unsteady on his feet. Haye immediately went in for the kill, only for Ruiz to cover up well and somehow managed to remain upright.
Ruiz was down again halfway through the round, although this time referee Guillermo Perez judged Haye had hit Ruiz on the back of the head and docked him two points for a deliberate foul.
Ruiz, a veteran of 10 world title fights and a two-time world champion, rallied well and even landed with a couple of solid right hands of his own towards the end of the round, just to remind Haye he was still there.
Haye will look for a unification clash with one of the
Klitschko brothers

He may well have nicked the second before Haye upped his work-rate in the third, peppering Ruiz with ramrod jabs and rocking him repeatedly with huge right hands.
Ruiz had more success in the fourth, with Haye not moving his head as effectively as he had been - and the sight of Haye grabbing his gumshield at the bell suggested the fight was far from over.
But Ruiz, who had no answer to Haye's speed, wore a pair of juddering right crosses at the start of the fifth before he was forced to take a knee after yet another massive right hand.
Ruiz, his face by now masked with blood, was down for a fourth time in the sixth, this time courtesy of a chopping right hook, and the challenger's trainer Miguel Diaz indicated that the next round might be his final throw of the dice.
But Haye coasted the seventh, meaning Ruiz, who never stopped coming forward despite the damage he was sustaining, was sent out again.
A scything uppercut had Ruiz backpedalling at the start of the eighth and, after another tremendous barrage it looked like he might go over again. But Haye, feeling the pace himself, stood off.
After more one-way traffic in the ninth, Diaz finally waved the white flag two minutes and one second into the round to save his man further punishment.
With his victory, Haye becomes the first British fighter to defend a heavyweight world title on home soil since Lennox Lewis beat South Africa's Francois Botha at the London Arena in 2000.
When Haye, whose record now reads 24 wins (22 knockouts) and one defeat, beat Nikolay Valuev to claim the WBA belt last November, there was a rematch clause in the contract, but the hope is the Russian will be paid to step aside.
Haye wants a fight against either Klitschko to take place at London's Wembley Stadium, although the Ukrainian siblings would prefer it to happen in their adopted Germany where they command huge television audiences and would have little problem filling a football stadium.
Haye was all set to fight Wladimir in Gelsenkirchen last June before Haye pulled out with a back injury, but the Englishman will use the impressive nature of his victory over Ruiz to claim he is now the bigger draw.
Earlier in the evening, Briton George Groves stopped Ghana's Charles Adamu in the sixth round to win the Commonwealth super-middleweight title.
Colin Lynes failed to make it a successful British double after being counted out in the eighth round of his Commonwealth light-welterweight title challenge against Ajose Olusegan of Nigeria.
World Cup 2010 Match Day Ball Revealed
By NhamoThe official World Cup 2010 soccer ball from Adidas has been unveiled. Named Jabulani, the ball features a newly developed “Grip’n’Groove” ball technology, which provides an exceptionally stable flight and perfect grip under all conditions. With only eight, thermally bonded 3-D panels, which are spherically molded for the first time, the ball is perfectly round and more accurate than ever before.
The word “Jabulani,” translated literally, means “to celebrate.”
Eleven different colors are used in the adidas “JABULANI”, the eleventh adidas World Cup ball. These 11 colors represent the 11 players in every team, the 11 official languages of South Africa and the 11 South African tribes that make the country one of the most ethnologically diverse countries on the African continent. The colorful design brings together the tremendous diversity of the country in harmonious unity. Four triangle-shaped design elements on a white background lend the ball a unique appearance in African spirit. Like the outer facade of Johannesburg’s Soccer City Stadium, individual design elements capture the colorfulness of South Africa.

Ben Kieren: Beach
By Nhamo
Kieren struts his
ripped blond & muscular nude body along the shore of an
isolated beach & lies back on his towel to sun himself. Right
away he can't keep his hands from playing with his own rock hard
muscles & turning himself on. With no one around Ben Kieren
takes a moment to lightly hump the towel before turning over to
jack his already rock hard cock. He spreads his legs apart slightly
to let his massive balls hang loose and begins to stroke his cock
pausing periodically to feel up his flexed biceps and run his hand
ovcer his furry ripped abs. With his head thrown back and his
entire body flexed Ben Kieren strokes his cock with tremendous
intensity, grunting & groaning till he shoots over his flexed
abs.

World record holder to swim the Channel in 2010
By Editor
A gay world-record holder will add another major sporting achievement to his belt next year when he attempts to swim the English Channel in August 2010.
37-year-old Angus Macfadyen is currently half-way through his winter training programme which involves swimming in freezing cold temperatures as he prepares to take part in the 20 – 30 mile challenge in order to raise money to bring fresh water to underprivileged children through the charity Lawrence’s Roundabout Well Appeal (LRWA).
The solo Channel swim from Dover to Calais will take Angus between 12 and 16 hours with many obstructions along the way from masses of jelly fish and raw sewage to huge container ships and a turbulent tide.
Angus’s training regime which has already seen him undergo a qualifying sea swim in Dover includes hours and miles of sea and pool swimming each week combined with circuit training, gym work and running - all this fitted in around his work as a cameraman.
Talking about his reasons behind the challenge, Angus told Pink Paper: “There was a big, empty, depressing feeling inside of me when I finished my ten month marathon training so I had to find a way to fill the void – and that’s how I decided to train to swim the Channel.
“The next twelve months will test me to my limits – this will be my personal mountain, the toughest year in my life.”
The Brighton based film-maker is passionate about raising money for underprivileged people and has travelled across the world through his work with the BBC, encountering many difficult and upsetting experiences.
He added: “I have personally seen women walk up to four hours each day to collect water for their family. I have seen fights often break out at the bore-hole as people wait in searing heat for their ration. The use of leaky plastic water carriers means much of the water simply drains away on the long, exhausting journey home. The older a water supply is, the more at risk it becomes of contamination.”
Angus has so far only raised £100 for the LRWA charity but hopes to reach a target of £7,000 - £14,000 in the lead up to the swim.
LRWA pays for ‘Play Pumps’ combining a children’s roundabout with a water pump. As the children play, up to 1,400 litres can be pumped from the well into a holding tank, providing around 2,000 people with fresh water.
“With three years of my life dedicated to this project I hope that the readers will be generous, thoughtful and write a cheque or go online - whatever they have to do to pledge their support and help change others lives forever.” Angus added.
Angus set the 2007 London Marathon world record for the ‘fastest marathon on crutches’ with just the use of his right leg whilst also raising more than £23,000 for a land mines clearance charity.
The swimmer is looking for sponsorship and donations from both businesses and individuals. For more information or to show your support and donate see www.channelangus.co.uk
